Directions
From the South
From Auckland, drive north on State Highway 1 to Warkworth – about 45 minutes drive. (NB. there is an electronic toll section at Puhoi, see more info on the toll road ). Enter Warkworth township and turn right at the second traffic lights. 100m after this there is another right to Sandspit. Drive for 6km, then turn left and almost immediately right to Sandspit (you'll see the Welcome to Sandspit sign). Drive all the way through Sandspit until just before the ferry and camp ground, then take a right into Brick Bay Drive.
This winding road will take you all the way to the top of the hill then make a left into Kotare Place, Kotare Lodge is on the left.
From the North
Drive south on State Highway 1 to Warkworth, at the first set of traffic lights turn left. 100m after take the right turn signposted to Sandspit. Drive for 6km, then turn left and almost immediately right to Sandspit (you'll see the Welcome to Sandspit sign). Drive all the way through Sandspit until just before the ferry and camp ground, then take a right into Brick Bay Drive. This winding road will take you all the way to the top of the hill then make a left into Kotare Place, Kotare Lodge is on the left.
